What is the correct way of changing engine oil in my car?

Drain the engine oil when the engine is still hot. Take off the oil filler cap. Place a drain pan under the plug. Using the correct spanner detach the drain plug and drain out the engine oil. The engine oil is hot enough to burn your fingers when the drain plug is loosened. Wait until the drain plug is cold enough to hold with your bare hands.

What is the correct way of checking Engine Oil in my car?

Check the oil level with the vehicle on a measured surface. The oil level should be checked either before starting the engine, or at least two or three minutes later stopping the engine. Pull out the oil dipstick, clean the oil with a cloth, insert the dipstick all the way into the engine, and then remove it again. The oil on the stick should be in the middle of the upper and lower limits shown on the stick.
